Brazil's Infra SA to support new light rail for Campina Grande city

Public infrastructure planning firm Infra SA signed a protocol of intentions with Campina Grande city in Brazil’s Paraíba state, under which it will carry out technical, economic and environmental feasibility studies for a light rail.

Based on these studies, Infra SA will prepare the basic and executive projects to facilitate contracting the works.

"The 14.8km of tracks that will connect five urban centers are part of the infrastructure linked to the Transnordestina Logística Railway (FTL). The project is foreseen in [federal program] PAC Seleções," Infra SA said in a statement.

Infra SA will start the studies in August.

Estimated investments and schedules were not disclosed.
