Brief: EPM reinforces Colombian power grid

Colombian multi-utility EPM has completed three power transmission projects that it says will reinforce electricity supply in the country's west.

Works comprised the modernization of the Marinilla substation in Antioquia department, the expansion of the Zaragoza substation, also in Antioquia, and a second autotransformer bank at the Hermosa substation in Risaralda department, EPM said in a statement.

Investments in the first two projects totaled 8.2bn pesos (US$2.62mn), according to EPM, which did not provide financial details of the Hermosa substation project.
