BSI, K2 merge seeking US$34mn revenues in 2004

Brazilian IT solutions providers BSI and K2 have merged to create a company with 450 employees and a revenues target of 100mn reais (US$34mn) in 2004, local news agency Computerworld reported. The new company is born targeting customers in the industrial and financial sectors, with a special focus on exports, BSI controlling shareholder Arnaldo Albuquerque was quoted as saying. K2 operates a software house in Londrina, Parana state, and has been awarded Level 2 certification under the Capability Maturity Model (CMM), the international benchmark for software quality.
