Buenos Aires province offers tax breaks for innovators

The government of Argentina's Buenos Aires province will provide tax credits to local companies that develop technological innovations to improve production and commercial activity, local paper La Nación reported. Local companies are elgible to receive a tax break in the form of a certificate, worth up to half the cost of the initiative in question, up to a ceiling of 1.2mn pesos (US$400,000) a year. Recipients can transfer the certificates to subsidiaries or separate investment projects, so as to promote further research and development.
