Call for 160MW Bolivia wind project falls through
Bolivia’s state power company Ende has declared void a tender to prepare the pre-investment technical design study for a 160MW wind farm.
The project is planned for 35km south of the city of Santa Cruz near the Brechas-El Dorado transmission line.
Procurement information shows that no offers were submitted for the 160-day contract, the process for which was launched in May.
The consultancy work will cover basic engineering, capex and opex, reviewing data from measurement towers Las Brechas, Basilio and Zanja Honda, proposing the grid connection point, and drafting reference terms to build the wind farm, among other tasks.
Information on whether a new call would be issued was not disclosed.

Meanwhile, the hydrocarbons and energies ministry reported that the government plans to spend around US$9mn on rural electrification in Tarija department.
