Consolidating its commitment to the democratization of high-speed Internet access, which the Bolivarian Government is promoting to strengthen public services, Cantv is advancing in the expansion of GPON (Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network) technology in the states of Amazonas and Delta Amacuro.
This strategic initiative translates into the progressive implementation of the Aba Ultra service, 100% fiber optic, benefiting communities that have historically faced limitations in their connectivity options.
In the Cajones de San Enrique sector, located in the Atures municipality of Amazonas state, a multidisciplinary team belonging to the Cantv Blue Force has successfully completed a series of essential technical tasks.
The works include the laying of approximately 3,400 meters of optical fiber, the strategic installation of terminal boxes to facilitate the distribution of the service, the certification of optical ports to guarantee signal quality, and the marketing and installation of ONT (Optical Network Terminal) equipment for commercial and residential users.
At the same time, in the state of Delta Amacuro, the Cantv Blue Force is carrying out similar technical work on Petión and Bolívar streets in the central area of Tucupita.
The work includes laying the main fiber optic cable, installing terminal boxes and certifying the optical ports, all with the aim of ensuring the availability of the Aba Ultra service for a growing number of users in the region.
These concrete actions reflect Cantv's firm commitment to the materialization of the second strategic line of the Seven Great Transformations (7T) of the Plan de la Patria 2025-2031, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, which prioritizes the strengthening and modernization of public services and infrastructure throughout the national territory.
