Celsia delivers expansion to the Valledupar 220 kV substation

Celsia, the energy company of Grupo Argos, continues to make progress in the completion of works related to the tenders awarded to it under the so-called Plan5Caribe. Today, through Epsa, he put into operation the fifth of seven projects. This is the expansion of the Valledupar 220 kV substation.
Julián Cadavid, leader of Transmission and Distribution of Celsia , explained that a package of electric reinforcements was carried out that improve the quality of the service and the connection of this substation to the National Transmission System (STN), at the same time that it announced that the project had an investment of close to $ 6 billion.
"We are delivering, with more than a month in advance, this fifth project of the Plan5Caribe and we have two others in the final constructive phase in the department of Atlántico. In Celsia and Epsa we are very satisfied to be completing this cycle of projects that will contribute to improve the electric system of the Caribbean region ", said Cadavid, when he stated that this project is relevant because it is the first one that was awarded to us in the National Transmission System.
The improvements made in the 220 kV Valledupar substation improve the quality of the service and the connection of this substation to the STN and allow greater availability and reliability of energy to the department.
On the package of Plan5Caribe projects awarded to the organization
- The total investment made by the organization in the seven projects totals about $ 477 billion.
