Chesf, Furnas pre-qualify for 6th MAE auction

State-controlled Brazilian generators Chesf and Furnas have pre-qualified for the December 27 energy auction to be held by the country's wholesale market operator (MAE), the MAE said in statement. The generators will be offering energy to the Enertrade unit of Portugal's EDP. The auction is the MAE's sixth of 12 held every month. No vendors came forward for Enertrade's 10MW requirements at the last auction on November 27.
