Inversiones Candelaria Solar, a company linked to local metals, power, infrastructure and desalination group CAP, filed for environmental review a modification to its approved Atacama region Candelaria Solar PV project.
The modifications to the 193MW, US$204mn initiative are associated with technological improvements, according to documents filed with review agency SEA.
One change is the incorporation into the design of space for battery systems.
Construction is due to start in March 2026.
