Chile’s Enap begins prequalification for refinery maintenance tender
Chile’s national oil company Enap launched a tender to find a party to carry out major maintenance and repair work at its two main refineries in 2026-29.
Prequalification of potential bidders is underway.
Work targets the 102,000b/d Aconcagua refinery in Valparaíso region and the 116,000b/d Bío Bío plant in Biobío region. It includes towers, tanks, furnaces, pipelines and valves, according to the tender notice.
Interested parties have until October 25 to submit prequalification documentation.
Prequalification results are due to be published November 11-25. Terms and conditions for the tender are scheduled to be published November 18-25, while bids are due February 17, 2025.
The work falls under a 2023-27 investment plan involving US$3.5bn.
Enap recently launched an associated tender to hire a party to inspect and evaluate physical assets at the Bío Bío refinery.
The company has a third, smaller refinery in Magallanes region called San Gregorio.
Enap recently outlined multiple tenders planned for this year and 1Q25.
