Chile’s Enap launches Magallanes oilfield services, construction tenders
Chilean national oil company Enap is seeking services companies to carry out upstream work in hydrocarbons acreage in Magallanes region.
In a tender notice, Enap outlined 14 services, spanning drilling, completion and intervention.
Nine services would be carried out by a single awardee, and Enap plans to contract up to three firms for the others, which would be called upon to provide quotes when services are needed.
Focused on searching for tight gas, Enap is carrying out work at blocks Dorado Riquelme, Manzano and Arenal.
Dorado Riquelme is in the drilling phase, according to a company financial statement. Local methanol producer and Enap client Methanex has a 50% non-operating stake in the acreage, via a so-called CEOP special oil operation contract.

Enap has earmarked US$580mn for E&P work in Magallanes region under its 2023-27 business plan.
Overall, Enap E&P investment in 2023 was US$337mn, split between Arenal and acreage in Ecuador.
Enap also operates in the upstream segment in Egypt and Argentina. Under the 2023-27 plan, the company has allocated US$826mn for drilling campaigns in Egypt and Ecuador and secondary and tertiary recovery projects in Argentina.
Bids for the services contracts will be received until May 29.
