Chile’s Enap launches oilfield services tender

Chile’s national oil company Enap launched a tender for upstream work in Magallanes region.

The firm is seeking parties interested in carrying out flowback work and conducting mini-frac tests, the latter to better estimate reservoir properties. 

Contracts are for five years, starting January 2026, and will involve various areas in the southern jurisdiction. 

Work is currently being carried out at blocks Manzano, Dorado Riquelme and Arenal.

Enap hydrocarbons production in 3Q24 was 2,000boe/d oil and 20,000boe/d gas. The bulk of upstream outlay was pumped into Arenal, according to an investor presentation. 

Under Enap’s 2023-27 business plan, US$580mn is allocated to Magallanes exploration and production work, for drilling campaigns, output increases and new technology incorporation.

Bidding rules can be sought until December 31, with offers due by February 25.
