Cienfuegos refinery expansion engineering ready 1Q12

Basic engineering to expand Cuba's Camilo Cienfuegos refinery is due to be completed in the first quarter next year, state news agency AIN reported. Earth movement will take 8-14 months, project director Julio Sánchez Gil from company Cuvenpetrol was quoted as saying. State oil company Cupet and its Venezuelan counterpart PDVSA established Cuvenpetrol to develop and operate the island's refining, LNG and CNG systems. The project aims to take refinery throughput to 150,000b/d from 65,000b/d.
