With an investment of more than $1.8 billion in the deployment of fiber optics, Claro will benefit nearly 7,500 homes and businesses in Magangué, Bolívar, which will be positively impacted by better connectivity to the Internet, television and landline telephony.

This is added to and enhanced by the 4G and 4.5G network that is already available in this municipality, favoring its communications and the development of one of the most important municipalities in the department.

The telecommunications company will make investments throughout the country to connect more homes with fiber by 2025, strengthening the 148 cities and municipalities that are connected in Colombia. In this way, Claro strengthens its purpose of bringing technology to all corners of the country, expanding the benefits of connectivity and contributing to making a better Colombia possible.

“We are investing in the implementation of first-class infrastructure and providing an exceptional connectivity experience that enables improvements in education, tourism, entertainment and work for all. Residents, business owners and entrepreneurs of Magangué will have access to a higher speed of fixed fiber optic Internet, which will contribute to closing the digital gap and generating greater opportunities, complementing the connectivity ecosystem of this municipality. Investment and technology are fundamental pillars to bring technology closer to the people of Magangué,” said Luis Miguel Porto, regional director of Claro Colombia.

Finally, the company pointed out that fiber optics allows data to be transmitted at high speeds with higher quality, improving the user experience in Internet, television and telephone services. Currently, in the department, the company also brings this technology to Cartagena and Turbaco.

Likewise, with the 4G Mobile Internet service, Claro covers 100% of the municipal capitals of Bolívar, and with its 5G technology it already has a presence in Cartagena, which means that its inhabitants have greater capacity and speed to connect from their mobile phones . This is in addition to the recent announcement of an investment of USD$200 million to strengthen and expand the company's fiber optic network throughout the country, including Bolívar, which will result in better quality of service and experience for Claro customers.
