CNE pushes back dates for the 2023/01 supply tender for regulated clients

Through the issuance of Exempt Resolution No. 560, the National Energy Commission (CNE) approved the modification of the bases of the National and International Public Tender for the supply of electricity for regulated clients, establishing the presentation of the proposals for April of next year.

The change to the schedule of the 2023/01 bidding process considers the work to be carried out by the Panel of Experts, which established a work program around the discrepancy filed in November by a generating company regarding the Final Bidding Report.

In this regard, Marco Antonio Mancilla, Executive Secretary of the CNE, explained that “the processing of the aforementioned discrepancy could eventually imply a modification to the demand projection established in the aforementioned Final Bidding Report and consequently in the amount to be tendered in the Bases. of this process.”

“The postponement of the dates for submitting proposals seeks to provide certainty to potential bidders, which is why it is necessary to adapt the schedule of the bidding process, as indicated in this resolution,” said the sector authority.

In this context, Exempt Resolution No. 560 establishes a new schedule, where the main milestones of the process are the following:

Proposal Submission Date

Tuesday, April 9, 2024, between 10:00 and 13:00 at a location that will be communicated in due course.

Date of Opening and Inspection of Economic Offers and opening of the Reserve Price.

Thursday, May 2, 2024, starting at 11:00 a.m. at a location that will be communicated in due course.

Public Award Act, in case of completion of the First Stage award of Supply Blocks No. 1 and No. 2.
