Colombia assigns low-band spectrum to 7 companies
Colombia’s spectrum agency ANE has granted low-band frequency permits to seven companies from the security, transportation, hospitality, telecommunications and engineering sectors.
Based in Bogotá, Tauramena, Florencia and Armenia, these companies received permits for use of bands in the ranges 3MHz-30MHz, 138MHz-174MHz and 440MHz-470MHz.
They are: Ciam, Comunicaciones Estructuras e Instalaciones - CEI, Cooperativa de Motoristas del Quindío, Corps Security, Elgy, H & N Inversiones and Vigilancia y Seguridad Privada - Zagaz.
According to ANE, all of them met the technical and legal conditions required to have the permits approved, which must comply with the provisions established in the national frequency band allocation chart (CNABF).

“It is also important to mention that ANE has provided a free online resource called Visor de Espectro [spectrum viewer], through which one can see the frequency assignments in Colombia and perform coverage analysis for the VHF and UHF bands,” the agency said.
