
Colombia launches tenders for urban works in Bogotá

Colombia’s urban development institute (IDU) opened bidding processes for over 300bn pesos (US$70.8mn).
Details can be accessed via procurement site Secop II. (Place the process number in the Datos de proceso box and click Buscar).
One tender, involving 165bn pesos, is for building a parking area for buses of public transport system Sitp in Engativá town, northwest of Bogotá. Offers are due November 14, contract awarding is scheduled for December 14 and signing of the 32-month contract for December 22.
The process number is IDU-LP-SGI-012-2023.
Road and public space works around the Montevideo and Puente Aranda Group 5 industrial zones in Bogotá will demand 56.8bn pesos. The bidding deadline is November 15, while awarding of the 21-month contract is scheduled for December 15 and signing for December 26.
The process number is IDU-LP-SGI-010-2023.
A 43.3bn-peso tender to expand the stations of the TransMilenio system so they also serve bi-articulated buses would benefit 162,000 residents of Usaquén and Suba and of urban areas under development in the north of Bogotá. Bids for the 18-month contract may be submitted through November 15, awarding is planned for December 15 and contract signing for December 26.
The process number is IDU-LP-SGI-011-2023.
IDU is also seeking to invest at least 35.5bn pesos in a new bicycle bridge on Boyacá Avenue, including complementary works and a connection with a public space, according to a press release.
Offers may be submitted through November 15, awarding of the 22-month contract is planned for December 15 and contract signing for December 23.
