Colombia readying investor call for power dispatch project
Colombia's Centro region has been targeted for new power dispatch infrastructure as part of the government’s 2022-36 reference generation and transmission expansion plan.
Mining and energy planning unit UPME pre-published terms to design, build and operate the 230kV Sopó substation and associated transmission lines for 25 years.
The project would connect to Grupo Energía de Bogotá’s 230kV Guavio-Circo line in Cundimarca department, home to the country’s capital Bogotá.
The works must be put into operation by December 31, 2027, according to UPME documents, available here.
