Bnamericas

Colombian state-run oil company Ecopetrol has called for expressions of interest from local and international companies to participate in energy innovation projects.

The initiative seeks to address challenges related to electricity distribution and transmission, solar panels and industrial batteries.

"We are launching a new call to promote innovation," Ecopetrol innovation manager Andrés Felipe López said in a statement.

"It is an open invitation to entrepreneurs, companies and the academic sector, to put their creativity at the service of the country. We are looking for the best ideas in the sector that allow us to accelerate the energy transition and promote reuse processes in the industry, which aim to meet Ecopetrol's decarbonization objectives."
