Colombia's top oil and gas producers
Ten companies are responsible for more than 95% of Colombia's crude oil production, according to data published by industry chamber Campetrol.
The largest is state firm Ecopetrol, which accounted for 60% of total output by pumping 461,000b/d in October, the entity said in its latest monthly upstream report.
SierraCol was second with 7% of the total, followed by Frontera (6.6%), GeoPark (6.3%) and Gran Tierra (4%).
Canada's Parex was the sixth-largest producer with 3.2% while ONGC Videsh (3%), Hocol (2.4%), Perenco (1.9%) and Tecpetrol (1.3%) round out the top 10.
Colombia's most prolific oilfield in October was Rubiales in central-eastern Meta department, which produced 99,000b/d, down from 103,000b/d a year earlier.
Next was Castilla (57,000b/d), Castilla Norte (41,000b/d), Caño Sur Este (41,000b/d) and Chichimene (37,000b/d).
Natural gas
Meanwhile, five companies are responsible for more than 95% of natural gas output, the figures show.
The biggest is Ecopetrol, which contributed 70% of national output with 974Mf3/d in October. The company was followed by Canacol (11%), Hocol (10%), Parex (3%) and LNG Energy (2%).
Pauto Sur was the leading gas-producing area in October with 371Mf3/d, up from 329Mf3/d a year earlier. Next was Cupiagua (139Mf3/d), Cupiagua Sur (97Mf3/d), Chuchupa (74Mf3/d) and Clarinete (72Mf3/d).
