Costanera signs 100MW sales agreement

Argentine generator Central Costanera has signed a 30-month agreement to sell up to 100MW of firm capacity and associated energy to trading firm Cemsa from February 2004, the company said in a statement to the Buenos Aires stock market on Friday. Cemsa sells Argentine power to Brazil through the Cien interconnection. Endesa Spain is the indirect owner of Costanera, Cemsa and Cien. Costanera has close to 3,000MW capacity.
