CVRD to host finance conference April 5

Rio de Janeiro-based resources giant CVRD (NYSE: RIO) will host a finance conference April 5, the company said in a regulatory filing. CVRD, the world's largest iron ore producer, will host the conference with finance industry trade group Apimec, CVRD said in a filing with São Paulo's Bovespa stock exchange. The meeting will be held at the Hotel Mercure in Belo Horizonte, capital of Brazil's Minas Gerais state. CVRD will offer a Webcast of the meeting, scheduled to begin at 9am, on the company's Web site. The conference will include a question-and-answer session with conference participants. CVRD will release additional information about the conference at a later date.
