Taiwanese wireless access products supplier D-Link Systems expects its recently launched Mexican division to clear US$2.5mn in sales over the first year of operations, D-Link Mexico CEO Lázaro Chaviano told BNamericas. "The time is right to launch an unlimited number of wireless products and Mexico already has the available infrastructure for amazing growth," Chaviano said. Over 83 local firms have expressed an interest in working as distribution partners, according to Chaviano. D-Link will plan marketing campaigns, roadshows and training to help grow and support its value-added business partner network throughout the country. The company markets wireless LAN, broadband connectivity and router products and is targeting wireless hotspots, homes users, small businesses and large telecoms, according to Chaviano. He expects over 400 customers in the first year.
