Deadline for Quito water pipeline bids pushed back to August
Quito’s water and sanitation company Epmaps extended until August 5 from July 12 the deadline to receive bids for the US$53mn Puembo-Calderón pipeline stretch.
The tender was launched in May.
In early June, several interested companies visited the project, Margarita Romo, general coordinator of the potable water and sewerage program, told BNamericas.
The project is part of Quito's US$221mn drinking water and sewerage works program, which is financed by the IDB and Spanish development fund Fonprode.
Romo added that the contract for the US$57mn Palugillo-Puembo stretch, which is also part of the program and which was put out to tender in December, is due to be signed by August.
