Developer FRV has resubmitted a 317MW wind project for environmental review in Chile.

Planned for Maule region, the US$340mn Loncualhue farm would comprise 44 turbines of 7.2MW each.

Construction work is penciled in to start in early 2025.

Environmental review agency SEA had originally accepted the project for processing earlier this year.

Argentine aluminum firm Aluar sought transmission access authorization for an 81MW expansion of its Chubut province Aluar wind farm.

The request was filed by local electricity transporter Transpa, according to a resolution filed in the official gazette.

Aluar says that the US$130mn self-supply addition will join an existing 165MW park of 45 turbines and is due online by the end of the year.
