Dominican Rep and AWS sign cloud architecture agreement

The Dominican Republic and Amazon Web Services (AWS) signed a digital transformation, innovation and cybersecurity agreement, involving using the AWS Outposts private cloud solution for government digital architecture.
AWS Outposts is deployed on-site, so data remains within the country.
The recently signed agreement also includes a cybersecurity focus through the AWS Global Cyber Security Program.
The agreement was signed in Washington by chief-of-staff Joel Santos Echavarría (pictured, right) and AWS public policy vice president, Shannon Kellogg (left). AWS regional public sector head Andrés Tahta also participated.
