Dominican Republic plans tender for Alto Mao irrigation canal design
The Dominican Republic is preparing an US$800,000 design tender, financed by Latin American development bank CAF, for the Alto Mao irrigation canal in Valverde province.
The head of water authority INDRHI, Olmedo Caba Romano, and CAF representatives from the water infrastructure and project areas discussed the canal and analyzed the pre-design, according to local media.
They agreed to launch a tender for the definitive design shortly.
The canal will increase irrigation coverage provided by the Mao-Gurabo and Luis Bogaert canals.
