Drilling campaign increased production by 2,000 barrels per day in the Pucuna field
The following is a machine translation of a Petroecuador release
Block 44, Pucuna, located in the province of Orellana, has maintained a sustained and increasing production. To date, it registers an average of 7,153 barrels per day. This field belongs to the Palo Azul Asset.
During this year, Pucuna technicians have worked hard to gradually increase production by carrying out the drilling campaign in the block with the Sinopec 248 rig and applying modern techniques to optimize the field's production.
The technical interpretation carried out by the Palo Azul Asset group was able to confirm the extension of the Pucuna structure to the south, which is currently the target of the current drilling campaign and which has yielded a considerable increase in production, with the Pucuna D-030 development well, which has a potential of almost 2,000 barrels of oil per day. This represents a production record for the wells drilled.
All studies, as well as investment and execution of the project have been undertaken by the Exploration and Production Management, which enhances the potential of the public company as a generator of resources, for the benefit of all Ecuadorians.
