During the early morning, huge beams were erected for construction of the multi-level overpass on the Integration roundabout
On the Integration roundabout, Constitución boulevard, the Government of President Nayib Bukele is building a multi-level overpass to reduce travel times and benefit families from the Quezaltepeque, Apopa, Soyapango and surrounding areas. This is another of the strategic works under development in different parts of the country.
Among the work fronts to advance with the construction is the installation of the beams. Last night and early today, the teams from the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) installed the first six beams of one of the levels that this overpass will have.
These structures are the first to be placed to progressively form one of the two overpasses that make up the work. Each installed beam measures 20.20 meters in length.
The two overpasses will connect with the Integration roundabout. One in the direction of San Salvador-Quezaltepeque, on a second level. The other will go in the Apopa-San Salvador direction, on a third level, both with two lanes.
In addition, this project includes the construction of three new lanes in the sector and these will guarantee that people can not only cross the overpasses, but also use direct access lanes from Quezaltepeque to Constitución Boulevard and Constitución Boulevard towards Apopa.
This will not be the only overpass to be built on the aforementioned boulevard. Another is also being planned on Calle al Volcán, another at the intersection of Zacamil street and one on the main street of La Gloria neighborhood.
The construction of the multilevel overpass on the Integration roundabout, in San Salvador, has advanced 37.57% and the construction involves an investment of $40 million.
It is expected that this important work that will improve transfer times for more than 50,000 drivers each day will be ready in the last quarter of this year.
