Medellin, Wednesday August 2, 2023 (@epmestamosahi) | Grupo EPM closed the first semester of 2023 with a net result of 2.7 trillion pesos, with a growth of 27% compared to the same period of the previous year, reflecting its commitment to the management of public resources, the development of the territories in which it has a presence and the well-being of millions of people.
EPM parent company is the development engine of Medellín and the protagonist of the quality of life of its inhabitants. In the first semester of the year, the Company paid surpluses to the District of Medellín for 1.02 trillion pesos, vital resources for social and infrastructure investment.

Investments and development
During the first half of the year, the business group's investments in infrastructure reached $2 billion, with the purpose of continuing to provide its services with quality, continuity, coverage and availability to more than 9 million customers (close to 40 million people), located in six countries: Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Colombia and Chile. Of these investments, 48% correspond to the Distribution segment, 28% Generation, 22% Water and 2% to other projects.
