Edegel issues US$7.9mn in 3-year bonds

Peruvian generator Edegel issued 3-year bonds worth 25.7mn soles (US$7.9mn) on Wednesday after auctioning them Tuesday, the company said in a statement. The bonds pay an average interest rate of 6.47%. Demand for the 30mn soles that Edegel was auctioning reached 55.7mn soles yet the company issued only 25.7mn soles in bonds, Reuters reported. BBVA Continental Bolsa SAB was the placing agent.
