
El Salvador will reinforce budget with around $48mn for investments in infrastructure and connectivity

Projects continue to maintain economic growth and create opportunities for more Salvadorans. The Government of President Nayib Bukele will reinforce this year's national budget to include funds for important investments.
Thus, the director of Investment and Public Credit, Marlon Herrera, presented the details to add $20 million for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of streets in the eastern part of the country, which will improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, as well as trade.
They are also ready to work on stormwater drainage systems and roads for around $1 million, with the purpose of making them work properly, so that there are no risks to the health and integrity of homes.
Director Herrera also mentioned works to permanently repair the bridge in the department of La Unión for at least $3 million.
Similarly, the Treasury is ready with funds to be able to add $14 million to the budget, which will be used to follow up on the construction of the bypass in San Miguel.
Throughout his administration, President Bukele has given priority to risk prevention and mitigation. Institutions have performed under this approach in their different activities, including infrastructure or connectivity works.
The director of Investment and Public Credit submitted to the consideration of the deputies the initiative to add $10 million to the budget, so that the Secretariat of Innovation can strengthen the Digital Social Connectivity Program.
In this way, the Ministry of Finance continues to contribute with efficiency in the development of works that improve the country's economy in the short and long term.
