Elea Digital and Vertiv announce strategic alliance to deliver Edge Data Center services in Brazil
Press Release
By Elea Digital
Rio de Janeiro, March 11, 2022 - Elea Digital and Vertiv announce a partnership to deliver Edge Data Center services in Brazil. Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, will provide operation and maintenance services for Elea Digital's data centers located in major metropolitan areas, including Porto Alegre, Curitiba and Brasília.
Vertiv's local technicians will provide support for this first high end service contract in Brazil. Through this partnership with Elea Digital, Vertiv will gain a larger and broader market to support the growth of the Brazilian data center industry. This partnership between Elea Digital and Vertiv aims to maintain market growth rates with a geographic presence across the continent.
Elea Digital's objective is to accelerate the standardization of its multi-site data center platform and, at the same time, guarantee its colocation customers secure services in line with global best practices. The partnership with Vertiv brings credibility to the automated, real-time management of the platform's key infrastructures. A suite of software applications will ensure energy efficiency and cost control across Elea Digital's six data centers.
According to recent studies by the Uptime Institute, the biggest bottleneck in the Brazilian data center industry is the lack of experienced workforce, especially far from the central region of São Paulo. By joining forces, Elea Digital and Vertiv will be able to provide knowledge and best practices to less developed but highly demanding metropolitan markets such as Brasília (where the Elea Digital SIG data center is the only Tier III facility), Porto Alegre and Curitiba. The two companies together will be able to bring the data center experience to these high-end markets at a faster rate.
"We are excited to begin working with Elea Digital on service offerings for cutting-edge data centers in Brazil. Our goal is to bring Vertiv and Elea Digital's expertise to less developed, but high-demand metropolitan markets," said Rafael Garrido. , vice president of Vertiv Latin America.
"The strategic alliance with Vertiv shows our commitment and enthusiasm for customer service as we continue to do our best to ensure that our critical infrastructure is kept equally secure, miles away from São Paulo's central cloud region," concludes Alessandro Lombardi, president of Elea Digital.
