ENEE will publish the power supply interruption plans
This Enee release was published using machine translation,.
In order to address the legacy energy crisis, Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica (ENEE) addresses the Honduran population and the media to report the following:
1. As of today, plans for power supply interruptions will be published every Monday through the link plan-interrupciones.enee.hn . These plans will alternate between 105 of the 192 existing circuits nationwide.
2. The interruption plans will be programmed taking into account the probability of disconnection of the circuits, which is based on the projected availability of electric power generation from the national plants and the Regional Electric Market (MER), as well as the levels of the reservoirs of hydroelectric power plants.
3. It is important to take into account that some interruptions may be the result of both the generation deficit and the limitations in the transmission of energy in the transmission network and the precarious state of the distribution network. This is due to the susceptibility of circuits to low voltage or transformer overloads during periods of high demand.
4. The interruptions will have a duration of 3 to 4 hours per day, depending on the daily availability of energy and the contributions of renewable sources. It should be noted that this interruption plan is temporary and is subject to the contingency plan implemented by the state electricity company and the progress of investments in the transmission and distribution network to improve the obsolete state of the National Interconnected System (SIN), due to the Minimum investment made in the last 25 years.
5. We reaffirm our commitment to resolve the inherited energy crisis and put an end to the abandonment of the electricity subsector. We will work tirelessly to ensure and guarantee a quality electric power service.
