Energyear consolidates in Colombia as the key event to promote the energy transition
Energyear statement
The seventh edition of Energyear Colombia couldn't come at a better time. The country has just overcome a difficult situation and energy stress due to the strong blow that the El Niño Phenomenon caused to the country's generation sources, highly dependent on hydroelectric plants that make up close to 80% of its matrix.
In that sense, Colombia and its market advocate consolidating the country project that resumes the successful path that in previous years catapulted it as an attractive and prosperous territory, and that led it to lead numerous rankings and receive various recognitions for its contributions and advances in the energy transition of entities such as the UN or the IEA.
For this, the country has everything: an enviable location that makes it a powerhouse for wind and solar generation; a human capacity of the highest level and preparation; a committed sector; a regulation in constant evolution and adaptation and the will of all leaders and stakeholders in the energy transition to contribute to its continued progress and allowing an increasingly stronger and more resilient matrix in times of fight against climate change.
With this in mind, the Energyear 2024 Tour returns on May 29 and 30 to the Intercontinental Hotel in the city of Medellín with an agenda full of news, luxury attendees and the best networking to continue promoting and taking advantage of the potential of the Colombian Energy Transition .
“Colombia has been, is and will continue to be a key market for the renewable sector and for Energyear, therefore, as is customary given the experience and quality of our events, we will have top-level attendees and the best business opportunities, alliances and networking in one place,” says Iván Ledesma, CEO of Energyear.
The Energyear Tour continues to consolidate itself with key and must-see events on the agendas of companies, public policy makers, institutions and all interested parties who see in these events a unique opportunity that marks the current situation and future opportunities of Colombia and Latin America.
