Environmental call issued for Peru solar project, concession granted
Peruvian power generator Empresa de Generación Eléctrica San Gabán (EGESG) launched bidding to draft the environmental impact declaration of the 82.5MW Pampa Gallinazos solar project.
The work includes helping secure environmental certification for the photovoltaic park, which is planned for Inclán district, Tacna region.
Offers for the 145-day contract are due June 17, according to procurement information available in the Documents box in the top-right corner.
Pampa Gallinazos would connect to the national grid via a 220kV, 18.7km transmission line, which would link new substations.
EGESG also has bidding underway to expand its 110MW San Gaban II hydro plant, which has drawn an inquiry from Afry. The bidding deadline was extended to June 13.
Meanwhile, the energy and mines ministry granted Majes Sol de Verano the definitive concession for the 45.3MW Sol de Verano I solar project in Arequipa region.
In recent days, Majes secured the concession for Sol de Verano’s transmission component.
