Etevensa signs up for US$135mn financing

Peruvian thermoelectric power generator Etevensa has signed documents for loans totaling US$135mn, and is now waiting for the banks involved to sign too, the company said in a statement Thursday. Local banks Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP), Banco Continental, Citibank del Perú and Banco Internacional del Perú (Interbank) are providing a US$45mn syndicated loan, while BCP and Banco Continental are putting up an additional US$47mn and US$43mn, respectively. The loans are for eight years, an Etevensa source told BNamericas.
