Exec: Next 10 days crucial for local oil prices
Bnamericas Published: Friday, September 24, 2004
The president of Brazil's federal energy company Petrobras (NYSE: PBR) said the next ten days will be "crucial" for a decision on domestic fuel prices. However, company president José Eduardo Dutra denied any relation between Petrobras' delay in adjusting fuel prices and the upcoming municipal elections scheduled for October 3. "Over the next 10 days we'll have elements that will influence the consolidation of a new level for oil prices, such as U.S. oil stocks and even the possibility of an increase in [oil output] by Opec," he said. by Nicola Pamplona
