The Executive Branch approved the modification of the License Contract for the Exploration and Exploitation of Hydrocarbons in Lot 131 (located between Huánuco and Ucayali), which incorporates the Social Development Fund Clause to directly benefit the population located in the area of influence of the lot.

This modification was approved by Supreme Decree No. 021-2023 EM, published on October 8 in the Legal Standards of the Diario El Peruano.

The Social Development Fund will be established with a contribution from the valuation of the audited production of Lot 131 and will be administered through a private trust.

PERUPETRO and CEPSA PERUANA SAC must sign the modification of the License Agreement for Lot 131 in the coming days.

This is the new Contract model that PERUPETRO has been promoting so that the populations, communities and/or hamlets, located in the area of direct influence of hydrocarbon operations, directly perceive the benefits and can prioritize the execution of development projects. for your location.

Likewise, this modification incorporates an Anti-Corruption Clause, similar to that signed by other contractors in recent years. This measure seeks to ensure mechanisms for the protection and defense of the Peruvian State against the commission of bribery and similar acts.

PERUPETRO reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting the sustainable development of the hydrocarbon sector, for the benefit of all Peruvians.
