Mikko Keto, CEO of FLSmidth, announced important changes to the company's organizational structure in South America, completing a transition within the senior leadership team that underscores the commitment to the firm's strategic growth and transformation.

Claudio García Bernal, who has served as President, Region Sales and Service of FLSmidth South America for the last four years and has more than 25 years of experience in the mining industry in areas such as mineral processing, sales and services, will now serve the position of Strategy Advisor and will be part of the company's Global Mining Strategy area.

In this important role, Claudio will occupy this position from Europe in order to transmit his experience globally with a focus on M&A and advising executive management on the growth drivers and strategic guidelines of FLS.

For his part, Edwin Vildósola - currently Head of Site and Service Sales for the South America region - will take over as President, Region Sales and Service South America as of April 1. The executive joined FLS in 2023 after more than 20 years leading teams in international companies in the mining industry. Based in Santiago, Chile, Edwin will lead the region and report to Service Business Line President, Joshua Meyer, a member of the company's Global Executive Group.

“Edwin's deep aftermarket experience and customer relationships are invaluable as we execute our ambitious growth goals in the South America region,” noted Meyer.
