This Petroecuador release was published using machine translation.
The three EP Petroecuador refineries, located in the provinces of Esmeraldas, Santa Elena and Sucumbíos, from January to December 2023, reached a production of hydrocarbon derivatives of 63.89 million barrels. The Esmeraldas Refinery reported a total of 41 million, La Libertad, 14 million and Shushufindi, 8 million barrels.
The refining centers receive oil from fields located in the Amazon, for the delivery of fuels such as: gasoline, diesel 2, premium diesel, jet fuel, LPG, among other products, manufactured under specifications that meet national standards. With these derivatives, the following sectors are served in a timely manner: automotive, shrimp, industrial, shipping, fishing, tuna, aviation and for industrial and domestic gas consumption, on a national scale.
Fuel deliveries are made from the nine (9) clean product terminals, located in Quito, Ambato, Riobamba, Cuenca, La Troncal, Santo Domingo, Pascuales, La Libertad and Manta. Its commercialization is carried out through branches and distribution centers such as: service stations and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) depots.
The data
EP Petroecuador's refineries employ its own personnel, mostly local labor: in Esmeraldas with 75.50%, La Libertad 81% and Shushufindi with 32.6%. The crude oil processing capacity of the three industrial plants is 175,000 barrels per day.
