GasAndes to invest US$200mn in pipeline capacity
Bnamericas Published: Tuesday, November 11, 2003
Gas transport company GasAndes will invest up to US$200mn over the next few years to extend its pipeline network and ensure continued supplies to central Chile from Argentina, Chilean newspaper El Diario reported. The investments will help the company meet the anticipated 100% increase in demand to 20 million cubic feet a day (mcf/d), the paper quoted GasAndes executive director Francoise Faures as saying. GasAndes currently supplies 10mcf/d to distributors Metrogas and Gas Valpo, as well as power generators AES Gener, Colbun and Endesa.
