Boston, MA and Mexico City, MX - July 9, 2024 -- GMO GlobalSign, Inc. a global Certificate Authority (CA) and leading provider of identity security, digital signature and IoT solutions today announced a new partnership with the IT Security America reseller. The new agreement focuses on expanding GMO GlobalSign's customer base in Mexico. Through this agreement, Seguridad América will be responsible for selling GlobalSign's entire line of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-based products to Mexican companies through its newly established office in Mexico City. GlobalSign's Regional Manager for Latin America, Blanca Yanulis, is overseeing the partnership with Seguridad América as they embark on this territorial expansion.
GlobalSign's partnership with Seguridad América ensures that Mexican companies will interact with experienced cybersecurity professionals who understand the complexities of PKI. The Security America team will be able to offer full support on GlobalSign's products and solutions for certificate automation, digital signatures, IoT identity, email security and the rest of the company's PKI-based offerings. Additionally, the Mexico City-based team is prepared to provide faster customer response time and local language interaction.
The partnership with Seguridad América stems from growing economic opportunities and demand for local support as Mexico's cybersecurity needs change due to increased cybersecurity incidents and compliance with federal regulations. GlobalSign and Seguridad América have been partners since 2012.
“Mexico is an ideal market for GlobalSign, as the country is one of the main targets for cybercriminals. “We believe that our combined efforts here will result in Mexican businesses being more secure,” said Víctor González, President of Seguridad América. “After selling GlobalSign solutions for more than a decade, we are very familiar with their range of products and solutions. “We look forward to our relationship continuing as we build GlobalSign’s customer base here.”
The partnership to expand GlobalSign's reach in Mexico is part of the company's overall efforts to build its business in Latin America. As of 2021, GlobalSign opened a full-service office in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and has been accredited to sell its products in Peru, Guatemala, and Ecuador.
“We have seen growth in other regions in Latin America, which provides further proof that there is a huge opportunity for us in Mexico, the second largest country in Latin America, said Lila Kee, General Manager for the Americas at GMO GlobalSign, Inc. “Expanding our offering here is important as we continue to grow around the world. We look forward to serving customers in this region to enable them to have the best solutions for certificate lifecycle management, document signing solutions and much more.”
Yanulis added: “We are very excited to deepen our commitment to the Latin American market. By working with Seguridad América, we will be able to improve our ability to offer secure and reliable solutions tailored to the needs of this dynamic region."
