Governor Maximiliano Pullaro inaugurated this Monday night the lighting of the main roadway of Provincial Route No. 70 at the eastern entrance to the city of Esperanza, where he highlighted that the provincial government has “560 public works underway throughout the province of Santa Fe .”
The event took place at the entrance arch to the main city of the Las Colonias department, where the first Santa Fe governor was accompanied by the ministers Fabián Bastia (Government and Public Innovation) and Lisandro Enrico (Public Works), the mayor Rodrigo Müller, the provincial deputies Jimena Senn and José Corral, among other authorities and representatives of institutions.
“Esperanza is an example for us. It was the first organized agricultural colony, so it represents the countryside and industries for the province of Santa Fe. We are convinced that if we work together, if we stand back to back, Santa Fe will move forward and Argentina will move forward,” said the governor.
The new lighting of the main roadway of Provincial Route No. 70 at the eastern entrance to the city of Esperanza is in the section that goes from the roundabout with Provincial Route No. 6 to the beginning of the urban area. The work aims to provide greater security to users of the road, and consisted of the installation of 106 lights along 4 kilometers, which represented an investment by the provincial government of $686,715,882.36.
Leading change in Argentina
Pullaro recalled that when he took office he found “a province that was badly hit. When we took over there was a fiscal deficit, floating debt, a province that had not dared to undertake important public works for years, and we saw how neighbouring provinces had overtaken us. But we understood that if we put order in the State and if we managed resources efficiently, Santa Fe had the possibility of leading a change in the interior of productive Argentina that can have a positive impact on the change that our country must have.”
“Six months later,” he continued, “we managed not only to pay salaries, but also to have a small fiscal surplus in July. When many said that public works in Argentina this year had been cut, and were going to be cut in all provinces, Santa Fe was the province that executed the most public works, 500 million dollars , and next year we are going to plan to execute more than 1,100 or 1,200 million dollars.”
In this regard, the governor emphasized: "We will be the province that executes the most public works, because we are convinced that the resources of the people of Santa Fe have to go to development, mainly to our productive systems that allow us to generate economic growth, jobs and thus move Argentina forward."
“Faced with a problem, a solution”
Lisandro Enrico stressed that Santa Fe, “despite the enormous economic difficulties, is a province that stands up and proposes a solution when faced with a problem. And this does not happen in all provinces, which is why the enormous effort that the administration of Governor Pullaro is making to put this province in order and give the people this, which are the works, is important.”
Mayor Rodrigo Müller expressed his satisfaction with the work in his city, while recalling that “on December 11th we were attending to people at the mayor's office regarding the fact that the lighting system had been removed, and the whole area was in darkness. Today we see a reality that really makes us much more than proud, because it enhances the city and improves road safety.”
Other works in the area
In addition to the recently inaugurated work in the urban area of Esperanza, the provincial government is carrying out other works in that area of the province, some of which have already been completed or are significantly advanced. The most notable are the paving of the Circunvalar bypass (access to Esperanza); also the reconstruction and repaving of the access to Lehmann; the paving of Camino 6 in Rafaela; the repaving of Provincial Route 20-S from National Route 19 to Esmeralda; in addition to the reconstruction of Provincial Route 4 in the María Luisa - La Pelada section, which is almost finished, and on that same roadway the beginning of the María Luisa - Provincial Route 80s section.
