Govts. sign radio frequency agreement

The Argentine and Chilean governments have signed a cross-border agreement to share radio frequencies, allowing truckers to roam across the borders and still use their radio equipment, Chile's telecom regulator Subtel said in a statement. Authorities on both sides of the border will now accept each other's licenses and permits issued to trucking companies for high frequency radio communications The ultimate objective is to improve cross-border trade relations, Subtel said.
