Grupo Supervielle announces US$80mn financing from FMO, Proparco to fund SME loans

Grupo Supervielle S.A. (NYSE: SUPV; BYMA: SUPV), (“Supervielle” or the “Company”) a universal financial services group headquartered in Argentina with a nationwide presence, announced today that its subsidiary Banco Supervielle has reached an agreement and received an US$80 million senior unsecured syndicated loan facility for a three-year term and with an interest rate of Libor+3.4%. FMO, the Netherlands Development Finance Company, the arranger of the financing, and Proparco, the private sector financing arm of France’s Agence Française de Développement contributed with US$ 40 million each.

“We are delighted to announce this new financing and appreciate FMO and Proparco’s growing support of our strategy to advance the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Argentina, with over 35% of our bank’s commercial loan portfolio dedicated to financing over 22,600 SME clients. This transaction will enable us to further assist our SME clients by providing them with a long-term source of funding. We will target our SME clients within regional economies whose businesses focus on exports across various sectors,” commented Mr. Jorge Ramirez, Vice-Chairman of the Board & CEO of Grupo Supervielle and Banco Supervielle.
