Guatemala to build 250 water treatment plants

Some 350mn quetzales (US$45.3mn) will be invested in new potable water treatment plants in 250 municipalities of Guatemala.

The projects will be financed by the social development fund (Fodes), which falls under the social development ministry, government paper Diario de Centroamérica reported.

Earlier this week, the Guatemalan government unveiled plans to build 100 wastewater treatment and solid waste plants in different parts of the country.
