Guyana hydrocarbons service provider to expand operations
Guyanese oil and gas logistics company Ithaca Energy Partners plans to expand operations to cover increasing demand from upstream activity.
Ithaca has filed a permit application with the Environmental Protection Agency to store barite, cement, sodium chloride and calcium carbonate at its new warehouse at East Bank Demerara.
“The products are essential for the downhole drilling of crude oil,” said the company, adding that environmental impact will be minimal.
“Among the many services that are required to support the growth of this industry is warehousing,” highlights the company, which said that the materials will not be processed or opened at the facility but stored and shipped to oilfield operators.
Ithaca already imports supplies from India, the US, Latin America and the Caribbean, and has an office in Houston.
