Guyana natural gas infra call draws 17 groups

Seventeen groups submitted proposals to Guyana’s Ministry of Natural Resources to develop natural gas infrastructure.

The process will support current and future upstream developments, including pipelines, and the work entails the design, finance, construction and operation of the infrastructure, which the private sector will finance and own.

The winner will have exclusivity to negotiate with the government for the entitlement of gas to ensure the viability of the project and the overall value chain. The call was issued in January.

Lindsayca CH4 Guyana holds contracts for a natural gas liquids plant and 300MW power plant as part of the country's gas to energy project.

And CNOOC is a stakeholder in Guyana's upstream flagship development, the Stabroek offshore block.
