GWI begins bids for infrastructure projects

Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) has kicked off several bids for major infrastructural works in Guyana, according to local Stabroek News. The contract to supply and construct potable water wells at Providence, Uitvlugt and Better Hope was divided into three lots. Water and Oil Well Service bid on all three lots for G$220mn (US$1.10mn), G$149mn and G$262mn, respectively, while BK International bid G$142mn, G$123mn and G$174mn. S. Jagmohan only bid on Lot 2 for G$95.6mn. Three additional lots were created to divide the tender for the supply and delivery of water treatment chemicals. Canadian Manohar Services bid on all three lots for G$141mn, G$21mn and G$36.3mn. UK 3R Energy bid on all three lots, including G$104mn and G$18.6mn bids for the first two lots. Greensol of Trinidad bid US$83,538, but did not note for which bid or finish the tender form, according to Stabroek.
